Greenville South Carolina is a gem and American Grocery is doing this place proud. Joe and Darlene are advancing soulful ideas about food. The highlight of my dinner was the morcilla and squid dish with flageolet. Bravo!
The wines were ours and the highlight was sherry, namely Maestro Sierra Fino which was bottled in August of this year. How glorious! If I had Keat's language I would write a poem dedicated to this beautiful thing. Fresh and vibrant with salinity and yeast. Incredible with American Grocery's marcona almonds roasted in house cured bacon.
Kudos to Darlene and Joe for a wonderful treat!
